The Useful Web

Terms

Terms for a curated web directory

These terms define the working rules for using The Useful Web, submitting listings, and understanding third-party links. They are an operational policy draft and should be reviewed by counsel before broad commercial rollout.

Directory role

The Useful Web is a curated directory and randomizer for third-party websites. Listings are informational and may change, move, break, or become unavailable.

No endorsement guarantee

A listing does not guarantee endorsement, partnership, security review, availability, pricing accuracy, or suitability unless a specific relationship is clearly disclosed.

Third-party sites

When visitors open a listed site, they leave The Useful Web. Third-party websites have their own privacy practices, terms, tracking systems, payment flows, and security risks.

Editorial control

The Useful Web may approve, reject, edit, categorize, rank, relabel, screenshot, update, or remove listings at its discretion.

Submissions

Submitters must have the right to submit the listed website and must provide accurate, non-misleading details. Spam, unsafe, unlawful, adult, gambling, malware, or deceptive submissions may be rejected.

Sponsors and affiliates

Sponsored placements and affiliate links should be clearly labeled. Sponsorship may affect placement only where the page or placement clearly says so.
